We will assist You in drawing up the Reactivation Plan when You want to bring Your Vessels out of Lay-up. The Reactivation Plan should contain considerations for Deck Installations, Main Propulsion Systems, Electrical Systems, Auxiliaries, Monitoring and Alarm Systems, Anchoring Systems, Steering Gear Systems, Main Engine Tests, Cargo Systems (including all valves), Lifting Systems, and Safety, Life-Saving Applications and Fire Fighting Equipment.

The extent of survey and testing required upon reactivation depends on the extent of the Lay-Up Preservation Plan (the Lay-Up Decommissioning Program and the Maintenance Program) and whether Your vessel will be dry-docked, go straight into trading, or be scrapped.

Generally, vessels having been laid-up for less than 12 months will normally be considered as having traded continuously i.e. overdue surveys will have to be conducted during re-commissioning.
 
Vessels having been laid-up for more than 12 months are in all cases to be subjected to a sea trial including function testing of the main functions covered by class with due attention also to the instrumentation and safety devices with alarms. The outstanding surveys shall be performed together with a check of the entire machinery installation. For the re-activation of the Safety Management System of Your vessel a reactivation or complete Audit has to be performed.
